Netbriefings announces "Effective Enterprise Webcasting"

Webcasat discusses the important considerations when planning to webcast their large corporate meetings.

St. Paul, Minnesota - November 2, 2005 - Netbriefings, a full-service webcast technology provider that specializes in secure and large-audience Internet broadcasts, announces a streaming video webcast featuring Ira Weinstein, senior analyst at Wainhouse Research, and Dale Kurschner, corporate communications at Lawson Software. They will discuss effective enterprise webcasting and explore the considerations and features that companies may be looking for when planning to webcast their larger corporate events.

Webcasting allows meeting hosts and content providers to leverage streaming technology to broadcast content to large, geographically dispersed audiences. The key benefits of webcasting include ease of use for both meeting hosts and attendees, the ability to include high-impact, rich media content elements (including audio, live video, and PC-content), and significant economies of scale.

Traditionally, webcasting has been available either as a service (the ASP model) or as a product (the CPE model) to be deployed within the enterprise organization. Unfortunately, neither the ASP or CPE webcasting model is ideal for organizations targeting a mixture of internal and external viewers.

This webcast highlights the benefits of a hybrid webcasting model, which by combining the unique aspects of the ASP and CPE models, can effectively support internal, external, and mixed audience sessions.

Participants will also hear what webcast model Lawson Software utilizes for their corporate meetings and what considerations they dealt with in choosing their solution.

Webcast:  November 2 (10:00 am Pacific | 1:00 pm Eastern)

The webcast is a 60 minute event on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific, 1:00 p.m. Eastern. The event is a streaming video broadcast with web access through a URL to view the presentation. Registration for the event is free.
